I have a new DungeonWords-style PocketMod in the works for weird west settings. I've got my words selected and I have sketched out a little wilderness map featuring a random selection of words. What I really need, though, is help rustling up a good (and free) title font. The Cumberland Fontworks provided the title font for the previous two volumes. But I'm not at all happy with the old west fonts that I have found so far. Any ideas?
Have you checked myfont? They cost money of course, but I think that's where I got the Western font fot Hell-bent, a Western comic I did. I don't remember the name, though.
I'm going to ride out and check out that wreckage. Maybe I can salvage some parts to sell or maybe I can find out what caused the crash and get some kind of reward.
Blambot have a number of free fonts; they're designed for comics, but there are a variety of evocative designs. I don't see any free wild west type fonts, but you might find something you like there.
If you go to www.fontspace.com, and do a search for "west" a lot of cool stuff comes up. Some of my personal favorites are: "Bleeding Cowboys," "Helldorado," "Blackhawk" (mentioned by Rainswept), and "Two Gun Johann." and those are just in the first six pages of results.

I like Hard Block by Måns Grebäck & BlackHawk by John Singer.

You know I'm looking forward to this! :)
Make sure you check out the Western Fonts category at Da Font.
Oh wow, I so like that Hard Block by Måns Grebäck, that is clearly a western style, but with a goofy twinge to it. Nice.
This looks pretty cool Tim, looking forward to it!

@Christian: That stage coach wreckage is just another mirage... It's a trap!

Check the Highlands font.
Awesome suggestions! I'm going to consider my options tonight. :)
Yeah, that Hard Block is an early front-runner
I just found this site. It's probably a pay site, but the fonts look pretty good.
