Wherein Google+ Shows Its Usefulness

My wife and kids are away for the week so it would seem like an opportune time to get my game on. Alas, several key members of my regular group are unavailable. Yesterday, I put out a call on Google+ and voila: Gaptooth and Oddyssey responded. I'm pretty stoked to be running some Old School Hack with members of the DIY/OSR/RPG blogging community joining my regular gang.

Hopefully, I'll be able to try gaming by Hangout later this week.

And oh yeah, the iPad 2.0 is rockin' my world. Thanks for all the app recommendations.

So how exactly does Google + get you players from the online community on short notice. Uh, ones that you'd want in your home, that is. On game night I'd be afraid I would be reenacting the Lovecraft story The Thing on the Doorstep...

Hey! If you let me into your house I bring you cookies. :P

Awesome game, by the way. Again, thanks so much for running it. And the iPad does look like a pretty excellent gaming accessory. I'm considering one myself now.

Tim, the next time I am in Virgina we are going to have to get together somehow.
I am interested in seeing how your iPad comes in handy for your gaming. I have been using mine pretty much since I got my grubby little paws on it back in November for mostly gaming related situations, curious how others are using the wonderful tablet.

@Deirdra: Woohoo, thanks!

@Brunomac: Well, I'm a trusting soul that hasn't been burned yet. And last night's game was a smashing success. So no horror stories to report *this* time....

And hey, Oddysey's cookies are DA BOMB! (http://brokeassgourmet.com/articles/pad-thai-cookies-with-kaffir-lime-basil-icing)

@Matt: *Totally* Just let me know in advance when you fly through. And yes, the fondlePad was sweet-teastic. Only had Good Reader loaded up for the session, but I queued up a bunch of very useful PDFs. Next up, Dicenomicon and some mapping software...
