Gibson Wrote Neuromancer as a Stay-At-Home Dad...

...and I can barely manage a blog post when thrust into a similar role.

My wife is out of town this weekend and I'm on daddy duty. I'm away from my computer to be with the kids during the day and too darn tuckered out to do anything but veg after they go to bed.

But it has been a great weekend to bond with boys. We spent many an hour at the pool and had a great game of "D&D" this afternoon (using Stuart's wonderful Weird West RPG rules).  Appropriately enough, we also caught a matinee of Rango at the second-run theater and I must say that the movie was a top-notch western.

Regular blogging will resume tomorrow night or Tuesday morning.

Sounds like fun. I didn't really have time for blogging until my kids became teenagers and started doing their own thing. Need to get back to work on one of my half dozen unfinished novels now...

That's AWESOME! Glad I could contribute to your fun weekend. :)

I was painting the kids' rooms and doing yard work. :)

I wrote Errant while my son was in the first few months of his life and I was getting near zero sleep.

Does that count as awesome too? ;)

I only have two cats and I still manage to get distracted all the time.

Whew! That was an exhausting weekend. Fun but exhausting.

@Jim: No sweat. :)

@Drune: Ah, the unfinnished novels. *Someday*, I'm keep promnising myself that I'm going to start some of my own. Not until the kids get a little older.

@Stuart: WW worked really well for the kids. The unified "To Hit" table worked especially well. The older boy is just starting to grasp hit points and roll modifies.

@Greg: You are the man. I don't know how you did it.

@Grumpy: Heh. :)

@Dr. Pope: You are skilled father to be able to catch the her *before* she stabbed her brother. I'm usually forced to perform post-stabbing damage control. ;)
