I usually hate to recycle scoops, but this is too unbelievably cool to let pass.
Stonewerks alerted me to an insanely cool use of geomorphs that first appeared over at the
Lost Papers of Tsojcanth. It's a theoretical combination of the standard geomorphs produced by
various members of the community (including
yours truly) and the newfangled vertical morphs
solicited by Jeff Rients. It bears repeating... this
needs to be a web app along the lines of
Dave's Mapper. Maybe this is my excuse to learn WebGL?

It's a mighty fine use of the geomorphs!
The geomorphic cube thing you posted got into my brain the other day and I started imagining huge rubic's cubes, with endless map combinations. :o
Wow! That is so amazing! You could spend weeks in that. :)
Now that is the coolest thing I've seen in a while--hope someone does build an online app for it like Dave's Mapper.
I think my brain will explode. Stand back.
That is pretty incredible. I'd love to build some 3D Dungeon Maps with those and bring them with me to show off how cool I am. I definitely support the "this needs an app" idea.
An app will be made this autumn by yours truly :)
Certainly very neat looking, but I wonder at the practical application of a map like that. For example, I have heard of some using the Mapper and using the dungeons created for it, but has anyone used the vertical geomorphs we all were making a while back?
Like I said, certainly cool to look at but I wonder if they would actually be useful.
Stop messing around with the non-Euclidean geometry. The Hounds of Tindalos are sniffing around my computer now.
Seriously, though...LIKE.
@guy: there is no non-euclidean geometry in the map :)
@ms: yep, i did use them, and they're in some ways more useful than plan geomorphs. Will write about it sooner or later.
I'm not the biggest fan of the vertical geomorphs, but THIS. IS. VERY. COOL!
Speaking for myself, I could *totally* use the map. I love verticality in a dungeon and this one has it in spades. A too, that could generate these would be the bomb. Of course, we need more vertical tiles. I'll try to do some more, but it is harder to come up with good ones...
@tsojcanth: Awesome!
Sublime ... simply sublime - in fact, this could be better than sex ... rp sex, that is.
@Risus Monkey - thanks for the follow, buddy. Good to have you aboard ;o)
@EvilDM: Right back at you! Welcome to the sight. :)
