Item 1: Just got back from a really excellent Old School Hack session. The players mostly completed the Karst Chantry dungeon crawl and much fun was had by all. Look for a write-up in a day or so.
Item 2: It is looking likely that I'll be able to publish the rest of the 1975-1977 D&D artifact. My friend's boss has given preliminary approval and he is now checking with the document's original author to make sure everything is kosher.
Item 3: I saw the new X-Men movie last night. In short, I really enjoyed it and I am now totally jazzed about running a supers game at some point in the future. Just need to work it into my busy schedule... and decide what system to use (ICONS? Truth & Justice?).
Item 4: Speaking of schedule, tomorrow is Father's Day and I expect to be offline all day. I hope all you gaming dads out there have a spectacular day with your kids.

Supers? Have you looked at Simon Washbourne's Supers!?
I know what you mean. The string of superhero films this spring (and still Captain America to come in the summer) has given me superhero gaming itch intermittently, as well.
Even though I haven't run Mutants & Masterminds regularly in more than two years, that's probably the game my role-players ask about more than any other. I like the relative simplicity of Icons, and I'm sure that whatever you run will be fun!
@Narmer: I was totally unaware of Supers! Thanks for the tip. It looks very interesting (and at $5 for the PDF is cheap enough to buy just to check it out).
@Trey: I've had the itch for a little while but X-Men really pushed things to a new level.
@Gene: I like M&M but I get the sense that it is too heavy for my current tastes. As a player, I'd probably be all over it.
Okay, I've come up with the character I'm not playing when you don't run the supers game. :-)
@Greg: Cool. I can't wait to not see the character that you won't be playing when I don't run Supers. :P
