Thanks to the magic of the Internet (and a little tool called Google Alerts), I have discovered a brand new fantasy setting for
Risus called
Hawkmoor. There have been many fantasy settings developed by the members of the
Risus community over the years (a fair number can be found at the
Risusiverse), but Hawkmoor is one of the finest that I've seen. The website is handsome and functional and the description of the
Risus implementation is succinct and elegant. The setting's author, James D. Hargrove, deviates only slightly from the standard rules and I especially like his approach to wizards and priests. If you want to play
Risus with a distinctly old school
D&D feel, I highly recommend checking out
Hawkmoor.

First, thank you for the kind words! That really made my day! Second, since I *just* uploaded Hawkmoor last night, I should let everybody know that there are still a few rough edges and there is more information in the works (e.g., info about the gods, war, and a time line), but I am happy that somebody latched on to it early (and enjoyed it). I expect that there will be some minor corrections to the site in the next week or two, as well as the aforementioned information uploads.
My pleasure! I really like the site and I look forward to any improvements or additions.
