Introduction: Playing a Comic Book the Mythic GME
Previous Scene: Page 7
Shot of Angus pulling back from Sylvia as she leans in, his face clearly showing that he does not like where this conversation is going.
ANGUS: Even? What are you suggesting?
Shot of Sylvia from Angus' perspective, her back turned discretely as she holds up and examines an ingot of a reddish-copper metal.
SYLVIA: I'm not suggesting anything. I just find it interesting that you had an ingot of orichalcum under your bed.
From the other side, a close-up of Sylvia's face as she examines the precious metal. A horrified Angus can be seen over her shoulder.
ANGUS: My bed? How did you...
SYLVIA: Looks to me like you are already getting even. I can only imagine what the street value for embezzled orichalcum is these days.
View of both Angus and Sylvia. Angus is crossing his arms defensively, looking away. Sylvia leans back towards Angus, holding the ingot in front of him seductively.
ANGUS: I didn't plan on selling it.
SYLVIA: Of course not, you're a craftsman. An artist. I understand.
Angus grabs the ingot and looks angry now. Sylvia doesn't back off and has a wild sort of look in her eyes.
ANGUS: No, you don't understand. I didn't steal it. I have an arrangement with...
SYLIVA: With who?
Close-up of Angus looking very distressed. He knows this looks bad. Sylvia can be seen reaching for her clothes.
ANGUS: I don't know exactly. I just found notes directing me to hidden caches of metals. Very personal notes.
A partially dressed Sylvia is all smiles.
SYLVIA: Whatever you say. Listen, I'm not inclined to turn you in or anything. Maybe we can grab a coffee sometime, talk about art, and even have some more fun, if you known what I mean.
Sylvia is now dressed and handing Angus a business card.
SYLVIA: But I'd very much talk again. Ciao.
Close up of Angus' hand holding a business card with the following address:
SILVER MOON AIRSHIPS
230 Gaiman Drive
"Hanger 11" is written in cursive below the typed address.
SOUND EFFECT: KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
NOTES (Mythic conventions detailed here)
CHAOS FACTOR 6
1. Thug 1
3. Sylvia Franco
4. Mr. Ferrazzo
1. Discover what's in the box and properly dispose of it
2. Get medical help for Sylvia
3. Put a stop to Mr. Ferrazzo's criminal activities
4. Resolve the circumstances of the first scene (why Angus and Sylvia would end up fighting in the alley).
EXPECTED SCENE: I expect that Angus will become suspicious of Sylvia and try to usher her out the door before he learns something he doesn't want to know. He likes Sylvia but he's not about to help her rob his employer.
(Scene begins as expected)
Q: Does Sylvia refer to materials in Angus' home that have obviously been removed from Blue Horizons [Likely as that seems to be where this conversation is going... not a sure thing because it seems like Angus would be a little more discrete]? Yes. Perhaps Angus was being a little naive about Sylvia and let his guard down as a result?
Q: Does she hold up an ingot of orichalcum [Somewhat likely]? Yes
ICONS: Can Angus grab the ingot from Sylvia? Yes, he succeeds in a test against her Coordination.
Q: Does Sylvia stand firm as Angus gets angry [Likely]? Yes.
Q: Does Angus have an arrangement with Harold Farmsworth (from his character write-up) [Unlikely]? No.
Q: A mysterious executive [50/50]? No.
Q: Completely unknown benefactor [Somewhat Likely]? Yes.
Q: Does Syliva reassure Angus that she won't turn him in in exchange for a little help (a subtle suggestion of blackmail) [Likely]? Yes.
Q: Does Sylvia leave Angus with an unusual business card [50/50]? Yes, random event.
RANDOM EVENT: New NPC, Mistrust Outside. Interesting... Either Sylvia has a chaperone/partner knocking at the door or Angus has a room-mate or perhaps there is a police officer or private investigator. This will get resolved in the following scene.
Q: Does the card read the address of a convent [50/50]? No...darn, that would have been cool.
CQ: What [wikipedia]? Sun Shipbuilding & Drydock Co... interpreted as an Airshipyard. That might prove to be interesting.
(Left unresolved... Angus' response and how he came to be racing down the alley to interrupt the heist... not to mention Mr. Ferrazzo)
