Introduction: Playing a Comic Book the Mythic GME
Previous Scene: Pages 2-3
A head-on image of Ebon Knight jumping his motorcycle into action. Viewed from ground, he is mostly obscured by the bike (though it is possible to make out some more details of the black plate armor on his limbs). In his left hand, he's readying a grappling hook.
SOUND EFFECT: BERUMMMMUMUM
PANEL 2 (contained within Panel 1, positioned in the lower left)
The Wolf Creature is reaching towards some garbage cans.
PANEL 3 (contained within Panel, positioned in the lower right)
The two thugs stare upwards toward Ebon Knight, their mouths agape.
Shifting the perspective a bit, the Wolf Creature appears to have just thrown a garbage can lid, which is now slamming into the front wheel of the motorcycle. Ebon Knight can be seen a bit more clearly as he bails over the side.
SOUND EFFECT: BONG
Rotating the perspective a bit more, Ebon Knight is seen completing a headfirst roll on the snowy ground, his right hand reaching for his sword at his belt while his left braces against the ground. Beyond him, the motorcycle plows into a snow-covered dumpster.
SOUND EFFECT: CRASH
Hero shot of Ebon Knight in the process of standing up with his ebonite sword in hand. This is the first time that he can be seen clearly and his very practical black armor should be very distinctive. I imagine his helmet as resembling the accompanying image. In the reflected light of the warehouse doorway, a grim smile can be seen on his dark face through his helmet slit.
EBON KNIGHT: You had to make this difficult...
NOTES (Mythic conventions detailed here)
CHAOS FACTOR 5
1. Thug 1
3. Sylvia Franco
1. Discover what's in the box and properly dispose of it
EXPECTED SCENE: I expect Ebon Knight to jump his motorcycle over a snow bank and into Sylvia.
THE SCENE IS ALTERED SLIGHTLY: Instead of attacking Sylvia, Ebon Knight will instead jump the snow bank and try to retrieve the stolen case, not bothering to engage Sylvia at all.
ICONS: Ebon Knight is racing a winterized motorcycle over a snow bank and trying to land with precision and flair. This would seem to be Difficulty 4 test (better than average to succeed and a major success might be necessary to give it some flair).
OOPS...1! A Failure (an a nasty one at that). Not quite the way I had hoped to introduce the character. I can salvage his reputation a bit by having Sylvia be responsible for the crash.
It will take a few panels to narrate this.
