Telecanter's Tips For Public Domain Images

Every now and then I stumble across a blog posting that I just have to pass along. Yesterday's post over at Telecanter's Receding Rules was on example. Over the years, I've been gathering images from all sorts of sources for inspiration, home-brewed supplements, and in-game props (i.e. "you see this!"). In his post, Telecanter helpfully reveals a previously unknown (to me) source for public domain images (OBI Scrapbook Blog) and a methodology for using that source as a gateway into an even larger array of public domain images available at the Internet Archive. The problem with my own enormous library of downloaded images is that it is basically useless if I want to publish a real RPG supplement. I really need public domain images and I have always been frustrated with the tools available to find them. Hats off to Telecanter for giving me a hand.
