Setup: Nivek battles the demon-masked man, while Kelthas and Hresstan rush to his aid.
Mythic: Scene is altered
Q: How, altered? (rolling as random event, circumscribed to the original scene setup) [Event Focus:NPC action.] The NPCs present are: Demon Mask, his backup and possibly, Ilsbert. Roll 1d4, roll a 1... Demon Mask! [Event Meaning: Assist Joy]... Okay, I take that to mean that Demon Mask's backup are some of the prostitutes themselves!
Q: Has Demon-Mask hired a handful of hookers? [Very likely] Yes. Handful is about 1d6=5. If one is the one downstairs, so that leaves 4 upstairs.
Kelthas plows ahead through the small hallway, bursting into the pillow-strewn room, with Hresstan close on his heels.

“Help, help!” cry several voices, as four exotic women in various states of undress emerge from one of the side alcoves.

“Hurry! They're going to kill us,” says a pretty brunette with an ample, bare bosom, reaching Hresstan's side. She points to the alcove they came from and says with a pleading look at the barbarian. “They're in there! Quick!”

“By Kos!” cries Hresstan. “Let me at the ruffians!” He rushes into the alcove, closely followed by two of the women.
This plays directly into Hresstan's “Too trusting around women, particularly pretty ones” hook. I'm not even gonna ask the GME. He just falls for it...
Kelthas is momentarily stupefied by the women and their apparent plight, but quickly regains his senses.

Where is Nivek?

“Nivek!” he cries. “Where are you?”

Out of the corner of his eye, he glimpses one of the two remaining whores pull a long, sharp steel pin from her hair, while another draws a dagger from behind her back.
Q: Is a cliché of “Professional Horizontal Performer/Entrepreneuring Part-Time Assassin (2)“ appropiate for each girl? [Near Sure Thing] Yes.
Risus: The two girls with Kelthas will team up for a total of (3) to their cliché.
Risus: Red-cloaked Mercenary Caravan Guard (4), vs Professional Horizontal Performer/Entrepreneuring Part-Time Assassin (3): 9 vs. 15
Update: (Kelthas): Red-cloaked Mercenary Caravan Guard (4 3)
Kelthas moves like lightning, raising his shield in time to block a stab from the hair-pin wielding wench, but he is not fast enough to avoid a strike from the second wench, who manages to draw a superficial cut along Kelthas' back.

With a savage snarl, more of outrage than pain, Kelthas swings the shield, trying to smash it against one of the wenches, but the girl manages to step back in time.
Risus: Red-cloaked Mercenary Caravan Guard (4), vs Professional Horizontal Performer/Entrepreneuring Part-Time Assassin (3): 11 vs. 13... miss, but girls only avoided the attack (did not counter-attack as part of their defense, per Tim's rules) No one loses cliché dice.
“Hresstan! It's a trap!” Kelthas yells.

To be continued...
