Risus Musketeers

No, I'm not posting a Swashbuckling Risus setting... well, not yet anyway. But Dr-Rotwang has made a great start of it with SIX awesome Risus characters that are just begging to be played in a convention game or one-shot. Failing that, I may steal a few for my Pirates vs. Vampires game.

Hats off to Dr-Rotwang (of I Waste The Buddha With My Crossbow) for continuing to support our favorite Beer & Pretzels RPG.

I'll have to dust off my copies of the Three and Four Musketeers.

For swashbuckling ambiance and ideas here's Dueling Blades, which we used in our SW/Traveller game for light saber duels.

PDQ# natch.

and if he can pick up a copy GURPS Swashbucklers cheap.

I've been fleshing out a Risus version of Elizabethulhu with swordplay on my mind; I know the guys will want a crunchier melee system.

@Nero: Thanks for the Griffon link. I have some of their stuff but I definitely want to download more!

And I *love* PDQ. Someday I hope to play it.

I've run PDQ a few times with my current group. They will use character generation and task resolution 'as is'; I have to add crunchier D6 tactical rules for combat, though.

I hope to make a list cool fencing maneuvers that fit in the normal upshift/downshift mechanics. I need to re-read PDQ#.

While I was surfing for ambiance for Risus Elizabethulhu I found this link for two sets of house rules for Frank Chadwick's En Garde!
