Blackwood Belated

Between my Beyond Sanctuary series and my Geomorph experiment, I'm finding it tough to make time for other posts. This kind of bums me out, since there is a bunch of stuff on my mind that I'm itching to put into print. With a few minutes to spare this evening, I find myself with just enough time to give a shout out to Matt Jackson (i.e. Snikle) over at ..lapsus calumni... I noted his excellent one-page Risus adventures back in December but he's really been on a roll lately. Check out his excellent Blackwood setting, which has a seriously spooky "Hellboy meets Lovecraft by way of The Alienist and The Devil In The White City" vibe. Sounds like my cup of tea. I'm a sucker for Victorian/Edwardian horror. The Blackwood rules document is well done and contains an interesting rule for giving players a chance to contribute to the setting when they do exceptionally well on rolls. I think I'll be stealing that one for future games.

Thanks for the shout out! I am really enjoying making Blackwood, and have a really cool location for posting this afternoon. Another NPC on Saturday. We should start the games sometime next week!
