The Risus Monkey Mapper

Rather than post a new geomorph this evening, I decided to use my limited blogging time to whip up a random dungeon mapper based on Dyson's Random Morph Map. Rob Lang of The Free RPG Blog was generous enough to allow me to crib his html/java code, enabling me to squeeze this in after watching Lost. All eleven of my geomorphs are available to the tool and I'll do my best to keep it up-to-date as I create more.

I love it! That's going to get a ton of use. Bookmarked with thanks.

Superb implementation and glad to see some more random map tiles are popping up.

Now to make an uber one that contains ALL the geomorphs!

Very cool! These are so wetting my appetite for a Risus dungeon.

As a cheap way to increase the number of geomorphs available, throw in rotations of the ones you've drawn already.

Rob: Absolutely! I'd love to have an uber generator!

James: Yeah, I suggested the same thing for the original Dyson Morph Map. But it turns out that it is not as easy as it would seem. When I get a chance, I'll look around for code that might handle the rotations.

It's perfect!

How do I 'screen shot' the whole map?

@Nero: Many web browsers all you scale you view so that you can fit a good number of geomorphs on one page. Then I just do a screen-cap.

BTW, if you haven't checked out Dave's Mapper (http://www.thegriddle.net/mapper/), then I suggest you do so right away.

I saw that. I'm hoping simpler is easier. Lately I've been having real problems with technology of all sorts.
