CHAT LOG FOR SESSION #1 OF DRAGONSPIRE
[adapted from Savage World's adventure: "The Legend of Jub-Jub Lake" by David Bezio]
GM: It is autumn in the Narsikan province of Thorbarden. You have been traveling for 2 days. You headed east from Grantvol ascending up a succession of leaf-covered switchbacks. You are making your way to Ôkra and then to Dragonspire where you will pursue a life of adventure and become famous explorers.
You chose this path rather than the main road to save a few days of travel, and possibly find some adventure in the foothills of the Lûmanô Peaks. Ahead of you, a makeshift sign reads “Jub 1 Mile”. Jub is a small fishing village on Lake Folsathan that is becoming famous for its succulent golden fish. After a few days of trail rations, a fish dinner sounds excellent!
Everyone describe yourself...
Bella: Cowgirl Bella is on her trained horse, "Tango". Bella is 5'5", 24 years old and pretty, despite her rugged appearance.
GM: (To Bela) Is she armed? Wearing armor?
Bella: She keeps a large knife in her belt; a lasso at her side. She is a gung-ho lass, fun to party with and a bit of a rebel. She has a horse; saddlebags with clothes, food and some camping gear; two water skins; a lasso; a knife; and a whip (more for fun than for animal control).
GM: Cool. Tam, Banyan?
GM: Cool. Tam, Banyan?
Tam: Tall, sturdy looking human warrior wearing chain mail, full shield on the back, hammer nearby. Hard dark eyes, short kept hair, 6ft, mid 20s. Tam grumbles a bit about the cool weather and the gentle breeze.
GM: Banyan?
Banyan: Banyan is in his mid-20s. He almost always has a smile on his face and a hearty laugh is always nearby. He is equipped with chainmail, long sword, long bow, arrows, quiver, fire starting stuff, rope, notebooks and writing materials.
GM: You enter the small village of Jub and immediately catch the smell of fish. Through the 20 to 25 ramshackle buildings you can make out the shore of Lake Falsathan and standing there in a huddled mass are the 35 men, women, and children that make up Jub’s population.
Bella: Jubbies, eh?
GM: Yes... they are watching something...
GM: As you near the crowd, you see that they are staring at a lone figure rowing a small boat about 600 feet off the shore.
Tam: "Whew, he's way out there. Hope he doesn't fall in."
GM: The little boat floats to a halt, and with a wave to those on shore, the man casts out a fishing line. Moments later he waves again and a cheer goes up in the crowd. Suddenly, from underneath the boat a dark shape rises. In a huge spray of water the boat…
Bella: I'd like to ask a Jubbie if this is how they catch goldfish…
GM: …disappears, seemingly swallowed by what looks like a huge black fish!
Bella: …or maybe not.
Bella: …or maybe not.
GM: The crowd goes silent, and one by one disperses until the only one standing by you is a shriveled old man, who shakes his head as he fills a long wood pipe with a coarse weed.
Tam: "Was that supposed to happen?"
Bella: Howdy sir, whatever did happen to that poor fisherman.
GM: The old Man shakes his head. "Ney, but it has been happening all too often lately. It's the damn Black Leviathan." He spits in frustration.
Banyan: How many people have died as a result of the Black Leviathan?
Bella: Was that a fish, whale or serpent?
GM: (more fish than serpent) “We thoughts it was js a legend.”
Tam: Have we ever heard of such a creature? I’m using Successful Human Warrior Adventurer of the Republic.
GM: Make a roll (4d6)
Tam: 10(4d6)
GM: 17(4d6)
GM: Banyan, you roll 2d6 (for Arhaeology)
Banyan: 7(2d6)
GM: Ok, Tam's heard of something...
Bella: alas, this is outside of the farmgirl realm... tho maybe a 1d6 for rural folklore?
Bella: 2(1d6)
GM: (To Bela) Anyone can roll against any cliche... only the difficulty changes. And yes, Bella's difficulty would be pretty high.
GM: But she does get to roll 4d6
Bella: 10(4d6)
GM: Tam remembers this legend...
Bella: guess not
GM: (nope)
GM: The village of Jub takes its name from the Goblin legend surrounding Lake Folsathan.
GM: Goblins, who have dwelt in this region since the days of the Old Empire, say that a giant
GM: "Jub Jub" bird dwelt in the cliffs above the lake. Like the ancient Dragons, the Jub Jub
GM: bird had collected a mass of wealth in his cave upon which he nested.
GM: When the Jub Jub bird took to the sky, the gold coins and trinkets imbedded in his skin
GM: and feathers made him shine brilliantly under the glorious rays of the Sun God Blaz.
GM: Deep in the mud of the lake below, a putrid great fish, the Black Leviathan, dwelt.
GM: He watched enviously from the water every time the Jub Jub took flight.
GM: One day, as the Jub Jub flew low over the lake, the Leviathan mustered its strength and
GM: leapt from the water and consumed the bird in one bite!
GM: To this day, the Leviathan lies sleeping in the depths of Jub Jub Lake
GM: (which is the goblin name for Lake Folsathan)
Bella: and the reason for 'golden fish' relates to the Jub Jub
GM: digesting the bird. As he does, he passes the gold treasure into the
Bella: ?
GM: water. This is reason that the fish of Jub Jub Lake have golden scales.
Bella:
GM: (yer one step ahead of me)
Tam: Interesting...it'd be fun...if there wasn't any water or I could breathe in it...
Banyan: With Jub jubs nearby, we should keep a look out for the dreaded bandersnatch. And beware the jabberwocky.
Bella: Jub Jub was also Selma's iguna from the Simpsons, but I digress.....
Bella: how big was this thing? the boat was a rowboat. maybe 30 foot?
Bella: 10 m
GM: Right... where were we. Oh, yes talking to the an
Banyan: (To the old man) What can be done to stop the black leviathan?
Bella: anyone feel like going fishing?
Tam: I don't think they make a weapon big enough to harpoon that thing...at least I don't have one.
GM: "Aint nothin can be done about it. We tried. We los' all our bess fishermen."
GM: "Now the village is goign hungry."
GM: (the Leviathan was about 60 ft long)
Bella: the land can provide and there is ample meat in cattle
Bella: ok, 'nuff with the beef plug...
GM: "The land is poor around here for ranchin'..."
Tam: uh...60ft...leaping through the air....yeah
GM: "...'cept sheep, but we dodn't have no stock"
Bella: 60 ft? we're gonna need a bigger boat (Jaws quote). Seriously, we could rig a land-based line with a hook made from a boat anchor
GM: SUDDENLY...
GM: You hear a lous blast from a horn coming from the west.
Bella: as sudden as highspeed internet goes
Bella: army?
Bella: as in, an army horn?
GM: The villagers drop everything and run for cover shouting "Goblins! Goblins!"
GM: (yes)
Bella: shall we ride like the wind? or are you guys ethically-challenged fighters?
Tam: just in case people want to see how big the fish probably was.....http://www.paleocreations.com/leedsichthys.htm
GM: (Test)
Bella: drat, can't highlight the text
GM: (Whew)
Tam: Get ready for combat
Bella: and the option to tear-off and leave the people to fend for themselves?
GM: You can barely take this in when you see several Goblins riding Dire Wolves come bearing down on the village.
Banyan: I'll look for defensive cover and ready my bow.
Bella: we could go out to sea...
GM: (That's a valid option... for cowards)
Tam: How many Goblins, Tim
Bella: dam, the "it takes a village idiot" clause!
GM: 6... please refresh your map
Tam: Good quote, by the way
Bella: any villagers staying behind to help us?
GM: Now, please hold while I add the Goblins
Bella: is it 4 vs 6 then?
GM: Ok, refresh your map
GM: 6, sorry
Bella: or is the old weed-smoking man with us (lot of good he'll do)
GM: He's hiding behind a barrel
GM: Now, it is time to act. We'll start with Tam.
GM: Tam, what do you do?
Tam: What are the Goblins carrying...swords/arrows?
GM: Shortsword, knife, leather armor
Bella: guess, i'll be on Tango, as that is where my skills are (lasso, pull, break neck)
Bella: (so I'm not on a boat!)
Tam: I'm going to make my way to those three circles towards the bottom...barrels??
GM: (To Bill, ok... we'll get to you in a sec)
Bella: (didn't think I'd have dismounted anyway - strange town, odd rituals - a girl's gotta be safe
GM: (To James) Yes, they are barrels. Anything else? You want to take an offensive action?
Tam: Nope, ready shield and Crusher
Bella: alas, no ranged weapon
Bella: Karin is with us still.... right?
GM: Karin is not, I'm afraid... he was gathering herbs
Bella: 3 vs 6 then....
Tam: great....
GM: Bella, you mount up. Do you take action? Remember, that in Risus you can do lots of stuff in an action.
GM: Oh, and don't forget the wargs
Bella: mount, prep lasso and prepare to charge
GM: (To DMMD) Start thinking of what you want to do)
GM: Ok, you can charge now if you;d like
Banyan: O
Bella: will try to rope one off their warg. hopefully will choke via lasso pull on horse
GM: Which one?
Bella: north most
GM: K, move yourself half-way closer to him and roll vs Cowgirl cliche
Bella: 4 d 6?
Bella: 20(4d6)
GM: Yes
Bella: pretty good
GM: Whoah
GM: 5(3d6)
Tam: ouch
Bella: good for me!
GM: Hee yah... roll 1d6 for the critical
Bella: did I get the dude around the neck?
Bella: 6(1d6)
GM: (margin 15+ = crit)
Bella: BAM!
Bella: 2nd roll if a 6 is tossed?
Bella: 1(1d6)
GM: Damn... you can whoop that Goblin and Warg totally. Describe what you do to him.
Bella: arg.
GM: (In other words, that Gblin/Warg is beaten and you get to determine how badlly)
Bella: lasso the goblin about the neck and hank HARD. Neck snap desired. Tango is trained to handle nasty beasts.... can he roll for a kick?
Bella: hank = yank
GM: No need. You won so its automagic
Bella: hopefully seeing their bud fall, will make them think twice
GM: (To DMD) You're up
Banyan: I'll take the nearest cover just to prevent getting run over by a worg and then start firing my bow at the nearest one. (My map isn't updating so I can't be more specific).
Bella: before mess'n with a cowgirl baby
GM: (Try refresh)
Bella: (OK, no Kidd Rock singing.. tho that would be her type of music if she lived in these times)
Banyan: I did that, it doesn't do anything at the moment. It use to work.
GM: There are some boats to your north, building to your east, barrels to your south
GM: Which cover?
Bella: any chance this dude will decapitate and I'll have lasso return?
GM: (To Bela) Sure
Bella: sweet
GM: That's the beauty of winning a combat... you decide the details
Banyan: Barrels to south and then fire bow (probably 3d6)
Banyan: 14(3d6)
Bella: just makes it easier for me to repeat the process....
GM: Ok, the goblin that you were firing at doesn't have a ranged weapon, so it will simply try to dodge as it gets closer. 4(3d6)
GM: You wing him in the left shoulder
GM: Gonlin 2 is going to charge past Bella and will strike with his sword. Bella, what do you do?
Bella: duck and cover!
Bella: stunt ride
GM: Ok, but you can always attack as part of your defense.
Bella: would the lasso be ready?
GM: Still defense-only?
GM: Yes
GM: Lasso is ready
Bella: woa.. then I guess I'll try to rope the riding arm of this guy.
Bella: scratch riding... swordarm
GM: l, roll 'em
GM: 17(3d6)
Bella: 1 die?
GM: No, same as last time... 4d6
Bella: 14(4d6)
Bella: drat
GM: No love, you miss him and he slashes you as he ride past. Your down 1 die in Cowgirl.
Bella: hope he hits my chaps (best armor I've got...)
Bella: k
GM: He opened a shallow wound... but it's not too bad.
GM: Goblins 3, 4, 5 charge but not at any of you directly... anybody want to oppose with missile weapons?
Bella: James, David?
Tam: waiting til they get closer
Banyan: Sure. 11(3d6)
GM: 8(3d6)
Bella: thrown knife option... long shot, but hey, maybe this is what cowgirls do when they get lonely
GM: You wing #3. Want to shoot #4 and #5
GM: ?
GM: (To Bela) yes, you can do that
Bella: 11(4d6)
Bella: weak
GM: Which one, #3, #4, or $5?
GM: #3 is wounded
Bella: #2 - closest
Bella: and i've got a pint of blood to avenge
Banyan: I'll dhoot 3 again. 14(3d6)
Tam: Tim, can you throw a knife and then re-equip main weapon?
GM: That's the wone that got you...you've already had an exchange this round. You either need to attack one of the other #3 or you need to wait until its your action.
GM: (To James) Yes
Tam: Ok, dagger at +6
Bella: #3 it is then
Banyan: Then I can attack 4 as part of this same round? If so then #4.
GM: 7(2d6)
Tam: #6 I mean....
GM: Ok, Bill, you got him in the gut. He's hurting.
Tam: 15(4d6)
GM: (James) I'll get to you in a sec.
Tam: ok...
GM: DMD, you can attack all three. Your that good
GM: (but only once each)
GM: Please roll for #4, #5
Bella: I'll prep the lasso for a capture. maybe we can make him talk
Bella: or do we not speak with goblins?
Banyan: Cool. #4 - 11(3d6) & #5 - 9(3d6)
GM: (Languages... ah, you guys can choose which languages you can speak... somebody can speak Goblin)
GM: 13(3d6)
GM: 7(3d6)
GM: You get #5 with a gancing blow
Bella: country music probably would mean the ability to talk in goblin (it sounds the same to me)
GM: Now, #6 is charging Tam. You can either throw your dagger or wait and clobber him with the hammer.
Tam: I'll wound him with the dagger
GM: Use your brave human warrior cliche
GM: 10(2d6)
GM: That's 4d6
Tam: uh...I thought I was going to hit him before he got close...
Tam: If he's that close, he's getting the hammer
GM: Your trying to. if you succeed, then you'll get him before he gets close
Bella: Hammer Time!
GM: But yes, betteter to wait for the hammer
Tam: ok 13(4d6)
GM: Your Hammer can team with you... roll 3 dice sepparately looking for 6's
GM: (This is to see if you crit)
Tam: ok.... 18(4d6) 4(1d6) 6(1d6) 3(1d6)
Tam: So...I've got a 24 so far....
Tam: Roll another d6?
Bella: BAM!
GM: I was just looking for the 6's, so you get a total of 19... not enough for a crit
GM: (I counted the 13 from before)
Bella: OK, bam...
GM: You knock him off his mount
GM: Top of the order... Tam, your move now
Tam: So, do I roll another d6?
GM: No, but you have another action (new turn
Tam: Wack him again
GM: He tries to fight you off from the ground.
GM: 2(1d6)
Tam: 8(4d6) 1: 1(1d6) 2:4(1d6) 3: 5(1d6)
GM: Good enough... how does he go?
Tam: Crap..that sucked, but a hit
Tam: SPLAT!
GM: SPLAT!!!!
GM: Bella, your move
Bella: recharge with lasso swinging. #2 is my target. 10(4d6) will attempt to torso-snag this one.
GM: Cowgirl is down to 3d5... you could try your other cliche, if you want
GM: 3d6 I mean
GM: Or, you can use Cowgirl at reduced level
Bella: Brawny Lass with Heroic Potential... hmmm... thinking
GM: You're on a horse...horse is faster than wolf
Bella: guess I will ride close and kick the dude (heroic... dunno)
Bella: unless Tango can trample
GM: Sure, go for it
GM: (Tango tramples using Cowgirl)
Bella: Wargs aren't that big and I can runover this mutt
GM: 5(3d6)
Bella: 17(4d6)
Bella: BAM!
GM: He'll try to fight back... eek
Bella: fight back with a rolled 5?
GM: Not quite a crit but BAM. He's off his warg.
Tam: Ewww...road kill
GM: Banyan?
Bella: trod upon
Bella: DMD
Banyan: one moment. falling asleep
Bella: try to keep one alive. i'd like to use him as bait for BL
GM: Sorry... we're almost done
Banyan: #3 14(3d6), #4 7(3d6), #5 6(3d6)
Tam: That's what I was thinking....hmmm...
Bella: gotta quit RPing in a supine position!
Bella: (to DMD)
GM: I shoudl explain. Since this is your action, you are acting against one target. I'll assume you meant #3.
GM: 5(1d6)
Banyan: Sure.
GM: He's done fer. Desribe how it happens.
Bella: of course, we can use dead ones as well. we can spike their bodies with hooks (their swords)
Banyan: Shot through the heart and I'm to blame. I give bows a bad name.
GM: Hah!
Bella: the tough part is getting a long line out there
Tam: crap...
Bella: OUCH!
Tam: Its a fishing village...they have rope
Bella: crap or carp?
GM: Goblin #2 (off his warg) trie to attack Bella.
GM: 6(1d6)
Bella: I thought I ran his sorry ass over?!?!
Bella: he's gotta be picked outta Tango's horseshoes
GM: No, you kicked him off his warg but he wasn't reduced to 0 dice. He dodged your horses legs.
GM: You can trample him NOW, if you'd like
Bella: JA JA!
Bella: Tramp away
Bella: 6(3d6)
GM: 1(1d6)
Bella: and I thought my roll was bad... 1... crit failure?
GM: Boxcars are in efefct (the rule where you reroll if you get all 6's). I rolled a 6, then a 1... thus 7.
GM: No crit fail, but he does stab your horse. Cowgirl is down to 2 dice.
Bella: my horse or me?
GM: Your horse... but your cliche is affected for the duration of the fight. Less effective while mounted and mentally anquished when dismounted.
Bella: or are we one flesh as RISUS would rule?
GM: Your horse is a tool of your Cowgirl cliche.
Bella: right o
Bella: dems da rules
Bella: Banyan & Tam, plz do thy thing
GM: $4 is charging past. Banyan and Tam can act.
GM: (Missile only)
Banyan: Shoot at #4 10(3d6)
GM: 9(3d6)
GM: You wing him.
Tam: Actually...I move pretty darn fast with my Boots..Can I chase #4?
GM: Sure, if you'd like to leave cover. You'll be teaming on him with Baynan's roll (too if he crits).
GM: Roll individual dice for your cliches that apply (that includes your boots)
Tam: Ok...let me know when I can attack
Bella: is my "cowgirl' at a minus 2 dice now?
GM: Now, if you're teaming
GM: (To Bela) yes
Tam: MAIN14(4d6) 1ST:4(1d6) 2ND:1(1d6) 3RD: 5(1d6)
GM: Roll you MAIn dice sepparate as well (since your are teaming with banyan)
GM: Looking for sizes
GM: sxes
GM: sixes
Tam: re roll everything?
Bella: not gonna risk the horse (animal kinship overload). As I have no weapon (knife in goblin), I'll go on the defense
GM: No, just you main cliche
GM: And your hammer, if you are using that as well
Tam: 1ST:6(1d6) 2ND:3(1d6) 3RD: 1(1d6) 4TH: 17(4D6)
Tam: Whoops, the last one is incorrect 4(1d6)
GM: Hammer?
Tam: Yep
GM: 3d6 sepparate
Tam: 1ST:4(1d6) 2ND:6(1d6) 3RD: 1(1d6)
GM: Not enough for a crit, I'm afraid
GM: Goblin #5 charges Banyan
Tam: Do I reroll 6s?
GM: (To James) No, that's only if *all* your dice turn up 6
GM: (DMD) Sleeping?
Tam: Ok...thought I was teaming...I'll catch up
Banyan: When it's my turn I'll attack the guy charging me.
Banyan: {d6}, {d6}, {d6}
Banyan: 3(1d6), 6(1d6), 4(1d6)
GM: (James) Was teaming, but you'd still all 6's to for a given cliche to reroll)
Bella: any help from the village?
GM: 1(1d6)
GM: Banyan, you beat the goblin. Describe how it happens.
GM: And no, no help from the village
Banyan: Throat shot. And there was much gore.
Tam: Ok! Add any individual 6s, reroll if ALL are 6s.
GM: Yes
GM: Cool, 2 left
GM: Top of the order, Tam's turn.
Tam: Whack Em!!!
Tam: Solo Attack::MAIN12(4d6) 1ST:4(1d6) 2ND:6(1d6) 3RD: 4(1d6)
GM: He turns and fights back.
GM: 9(2d6)
GM: You dehorse him and he goes flying into the building. But he gets up.
GM: Bella
Bella: I'm sans weapon. DMD gave me the idea to buy/make some Bolas, but for now, I"m kinda stuck. Guess I'll ride (get Tango to safety); dismount and return to lasso again
Bella: cowgirl still at a minus 2 tho eh? 2d is gonna be rough (get by with a little help from my friends)
GM: Ok, you can do all that and attack with the lass if he misses.
GM: 8(2d6)
GM: Yes, 2d5 for cowgirl
Bella: what is my Defense?
Bella: for the attack that is...
GM: You can get help from banyan, but not Tam (he already took a turn)
Tam: Uh...not to use player knowledge, but is she yelling for help or something I notice??
GM: Your cowgirl cliche is the Defense and Attack
Banyan: I'm going to help Bella by trying to kill her goblin.
GM: (To James) She can see everyone's situation
Bella: k 10(2d6)
Bella: not bad
Bella: better than his 8!
GM: K. Bella rolls 2d6. banyan rolls his cliche, each die sepparate
Banyan: 3(1d6), 4(1d6), 5(1d6)
Bella: 4(1d6)
Bella: 1(1d6)
GM: No crit... Bella gets clear and ropes his weapon away. Banyan missed.
Bella: sorry, what is the goblin weapon?
GM: #2 tries to grab the lasso and ull Bella off the horse.
GM: (shortsword)
Bella: can I use my "heroic" side and use the lassoed sword as a weapon? Something I can attack with?
GM: How does bella respond?
GM: Yes
Bella: 16(4d6)
GM: 4(1d6)
Bella: or would that be a cowgirl 8(2d6)
GM: He's yours. Please describe.
GM: (Heoric is fine)
GM: (the 4d6 I mean)
Bella: lassoed sword acts like a scorpion's tail, a flick of her wrist and the sword flies on its leash to the unsuspecting goblin's gut.
GM: Ah, sweet move.
Tam: ouch...he won't be in the sequel
GM: Goblin #4 grabs a bucket and the villagers shout "NO! HE HAS THE FISH!" He then tries to run into the village.
Bella: more fishbait
GM: Tam and banyana can try to stop him
GM: 4(1d6)
Bella: he runs into the village?
Bella: not away from?
GM: Tam can probably do it himself
GM: Tries to
Banyan: I'll run after and try to tackle him.
Bella: tries to....
GM: Yes, he runs east away from you and further into the village
Bella: in or out?
Bella: in? out of fear or does it look like he is up to something?
GM: in, you're on the western edge of the village
GM: fear... but he want the bucket
Bella: got it
Tam: hello?
GM: Banyan is off and running. But Tam has the best chance of getting him with his boots.
Tam: whoa...i lost a lot of text there...i chase the fleeing goblin
GM: Tam, you going to run after him and clobber him? If so, he's not likely to get very far (no more than a few steps
Bella: gonna try to capture him?
Banyan: Tam, tackle him!
Bella: goblins are wee folk... just like hog-tying a doggie
GM: Tam, will you tackle or clobber him?
Tam: ???
Tam: clobber
Banyan: Clobbering time!
GM: Roll 'em
Tam: Solo Attack::MAIN18(4d6) 1ST:5(1d6) 2ND:6(1d6) 3RD: 4(1d6)
Tam: hello?
GM: He's squishy. What happens to him?
Tam: I'm gonna just knock the wind out of him...really hard
GM: Ok, you can do that. You now have a prisoner.
GM: With that, we'll stop for the evening.
Tam: kewl
Bella: far out
GM: Book-keeping first...
GM: Bella, roll 2d6 please
Tam: I had some refresh issues towards the end...but nice!
Bella: next time 9(2d6)
Bella: odd.... i didn't type next time... what is up with that?
GM: Your horse is ok, but you're still slightly wounded. You're back up to 3d6 in Cowgirl
GM: Weird
Bella: for how long am I at 3d6?
Bella: I have vet skills?
Bella: not a question... a fact
Bella: or was that the 2d6?
GM: Yes, but really just a flesh wound.
Bella: tis but a scratch
Bella: so how long am I at a penalty?
GM: Ok. I'll wrap up over email and we can schedule the next session. I'll try to sort through the log and giv Nakia an update.
GM: (To Bela) until you recieve healing... Nakia's character can do that.
Bella: Karin better have picked some good herbs!
Tam: Yeah, herbs!
Bella: we should get Billy D in this too
GM: One request... please send me your character as you have them, just to verify. I'll post them tomorrow.
GM: Billy D says he's too busy.
Banyan: Very cool. We should probably investigate voice options before next time.
Bella: he David and I can chat while ya'll type (two of us can keep David awake)
GM: Yes, I'll try to get a mic.
Tam: Tim, is there a particular character sheet or do you want a text file?
GM: text file... I'll format it. I'll also work with you over email to firm up any uncertainties.
Tam: What are we using for chat? Skype? Other?
GM: Typically, I'd ask a lot more questions of your character before we start.
Tam: Ok for character.
Bella: iChat (AOL equiv on PCs)
Bella: guess we can try Skype
Bella: tho I don't know if Skype handles multi-party well
Bella: iChat does
GM: Chat is currently ScreenMonkey. We can investugate other chat programs, but I'd keep ScreenMonkey for the die rolls and map
Tam: Skype is pretty clear..I've run it playing Guild Wars with others.
Bella: np
Tam: I've done up to 4.
Bella: we can use the SM chat to give full details, but the chat would speed-up other
GM: Banyan, you roll 2d6 (for Arhaeology)
Banyan: {d6}, {d6}, {d6}
Tam: Solo Attack::MAIN12(4d6) 1ST:4(1d6) 2ND:6(1d6) 3RD: 4(1d6)
Tam: Solo Attack::MAIN18(4d6) 1ST:5(1d6) 2ND:6(1d6) 3RD: 4(1d6)
