It has been too long, but now that my boys are getting older I am feeling the urge to resume my public contributions to the Risus community. Things have been quiet over at Risus Talk, though the Ruminator has been flying the flag nicely over at Risus TOTM (which I had not previously linked to). I'll need to do some house-cleaning of the site, but mostly I'd like to produce new content.
Why the sudden interest in resuming the blog? Primarily, it's because I discovered the Mythic Game Master Emulator, which I have been using in conjunction with Risus to create some great solo games. I can see how the Risus community might want to see some of the results of those games. I don't get to play a lot of Risus in face-to-face games, but it really is the perfect tool for Mythic.
It's also a great tool for play-by-chat games. Along with some veterans of the Dragonspire game, I am hoping to launch a new play-by-chat Risus game featuring vampires and pirates. Certainly, I'd like to publish content that emerges from that game.
